HRCP calls for the recovery of human rights activist Haider Ali

Lahore, December 02: Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has expressed great concern at the abduction of Mr. Haider Ali, a human rights activist and Advocate. He was abducted allegedly by law enforcement agencies on November 27, 2013 when he was going back home from District Courts. Since then his whereabouts are not known.

It is worth mentioning that two HRCP activists in Balochistan had earlier been killed by unidentified assailants. Their killers have not been apprehended

HRCP has written to the Balochistan authorities for Mr Haider Ali’s immediate recovery they have also been asked to make sure that he is not physically harmed in custody.
