TWO DAYS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE AT BAHRIA UNIVERSITY

Islamabad: A two days International Conference on `Emerging Challenges For Organizations In Developing Economies (ECODE)` has been organized  by Bahria University Islamabad on 5th & 6th November 2013. The conference is offering a platform for academicians, researchers, practitioners and students to learn and share knowledge. The conference was divided into different themes, each presenting an emerging challenge in today’s developing economies.

Governor State Bank of Pakistan, Mr. Yaseen Anwar, graced the occasion as a Chief Guest. While delivering his remarks as chief guest at the International Conference, he said that State Bank of Pakistan is a premier policy making institution, which strives to provide a congenial working environment to businesses, banks, and other stakeholders within its purview. “Having said this, the horizon of the Central Bank is much wider than that of an individual organization and hence, some of its policies may appear to be contrary to business interests. However, all our actions are always in the best national interest”.The conference was inaugurated with an opening speech by the DG Campus/Pro-Rector of BU, Rear Admiral (R) Saleem Akhtar SI(M) HI(M).

Earlier in his welcome address, Honorable Rector of Bahria University, Vice Admiral® Shahid Iqbal HI (M) expressed his gratitude to the chief guest for his presence in the ceremony. He said that the main objective of this conference is to provide a global platform for our academicians, managers, graduate students and many others who are interested in the changing perspective of management and business to disseminate their research and ideas with others. He said that in an increasingly globalised world, there is a critical need to develop guidelines and recommendations for promoting integrity in research at an international level. In the end, this conference shall serve as a fundamental and landmark occasion for all of us, guiding future perspectives of management for change and development.

The key note speakers of the conference, Prof. Dr. Murat Barkan, Rector Yasar University and Ms. Sue Reece, Pro-Vice Chancellor York. St. John University shed light on the multiple issues being confronted by business and organizations in developing economies.

The conference speakers presented their respective papers on the themes such as the recent trends in Business Management and their environments and Implementing Issues of new technologies within organizations. Prominent distinguished foreign speakers from UK, USA, Turkey, Australia, Netherlands have participated in the conference.
