AIOU promotes video-conferencing
technology to teach at higher education level

ISLAMABAD,
SEPTEMBER 11: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will extensively apply
video-conferencing technology for upgrading teaching level at the
higher-education level, particularly in running
the classes of MBA at study centres.
All
the study centres will be gradually linked with main resource centre through
video conferencing in order to ensure equal access to quality education, said
the Vice Chancellor AIOU Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmed Sangi while presiding over the
meeting of University Deans and academicians. The video conferencing network
has been set up set up at almost the university’s main campuses.
The
meeting reviewed the up-gradation and implantation process of MBA’s academic
programs. It was noted there has been upward trend in the students’ enrolment
in the MBA program in the recent years.
It
was decided that a strong mechanism will be evolved to effectively address the
problems and issues relating to the MBA’s programs, so that it could meet the
international standard and enable the students to serve the nation in a better
way.
The
Vice Chancellor emphasized that the MBA education should be a source of
promoting an efficient business and marketing network in the country. The AIOU,
he added would make all possible endeavour to provide updated research-based
education to its students on all its academic programs.
He
assured that the teaching methods and research-evolution process will be
further strengthened to meet the required of the students. He advised relevant

Rashid, Director E-Learning, Syed Hasasn Raza, chairman Department of Business
Administration and Assistant Prof. Muhammad Ayub Sheikh.
