AIOU TO NAME HIS NEW CAMPUS IN SARGODHA AFTER MM ALAM, AIRFORCE HERO OF 1965 WAR

Islamabad – 8th September 2013 Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will name its new campus in Sargodha after MM Alam, veteran hero of 1965 war. The construction of the campus will be start within this financial year and would be provided complete infrastructure and academic network to the students of the region. Necessary financial allocation for the purpose has already been made.
This was stated by the Vice-Chancellor, AIOU Prof. Dr. Nazir Ahmed Sangi on the eve of Air-force day (September 7) while addressing the meeting with University’s officers held here today.
The University wishes to project their national heroes through academic pursuits, he added MM Alam is a big name in the history of Pakistan Air-force.
Dr. Sangi further said that necessary work is already in progress to find-out appropriate place for the construction of new campus in Sargodha.
